is your name? Jimoh Basit.
What
is your artistic name? Abato Wonder.
Where
are you from? Ibarapa Central of Oyo State, In Nigeria country of África.
Have
you always lived in this place? Have been in and out
of that place, so I would say I lived there for 10 years altogether.
How
was your childhood life? Not too civilized, went through
a lot, but thank God for where I am now.
How
old are you? 25 years old.
How
is your family of how many members is composed?
Am from a plolygamous home which means we are quite much.
How
was your foray into the world of music? It has not been all
Rosy I must say, but here we are.
At
what age you begin to sing professionally? it was when I
was just 19 years old I was studying high school.
How
did your artistic name emerge? It came by when I
was in secondary school.
Then I was a chronic late comer, as at that time I had a 3310 nokia pone which
my class mate would always call me on to know my location and my response would
be am about to ever since then the
name sticks Abato.
What
is Abato's favorite pastime? Am always in the
studio to cook up something new.
What
kind of music do you sing? Depends on my mood as at the
time am about to hit the studio.
who
writes the lyrics of your songs? I write it them
myself, writing the lyrics of my songs is one
of my favorite hobbies too.
How
has the acceptance of the Nigerian public been?
It has been awesome to a reasonable extent. I never expected it myself.
Do
you have any artistic presentation that you would like to comment on where and
when it will be? Would not want to let the cat out of
the box too soon.
What
can you say to young people who want to follow in your footsteps?
They should work and pray, and not pray and work. They should trust their instintc, work hard, work Smart
and most of all work legal.
Would
you like to tell them about an anecdote that happened to you? One
of my biggest anecdotes is to see how my fans share videos dancing to my music
and greeting me, that is priceless for me.
Now,
What are the new challenges for Abato? One of my many
challenges is getting my songs aire on radio. because currently my music only plays through the internet.
Do
you have a project to do in the future? Yes, but whould want
to keep that as little secrete.
What
does Abato need to feel professionally satisfied?
Having people rised through me, that should be a profesional satisfaction
right? lol.
Who
is your production label? For now ran my stuff myself
under B2SM but am open to contract.
